Hope One Line Author story

Today we wrote a different kind of story. each line was written by a different person and no one knew what anyone else had written. Here is my story.


I can see a red rose

I am with Benji Marshal

I can hear crunching

I can smell chocolate

I am on Mars

I am brushing my teeth

Have you landed on the moon before? Well imagine how it’s going to be like. If I was on the moon It will be like really rocky there and you couldn’t move properly. If you are in the moon it will sound like nothing.

If I was first going to step on the moon I will be so excited and scared because it my first time on the moon. It is scary on the moon because I might fall out of the moon.

Stardome trip

Earlier this week we went to Stardome for our field trip. While we were there we decided to go for a walk up one tree hill. With full of disappointed we finally got to One Tree Hill.

Nervously we went down to the crater one bye one. When I finally got there I was sliding, rolling, slipping and tumbling down the hill. Tiredly I sat down with exhaustion from walking up One Tree Hill.

aussie rules

There was a game called Aussie rules and it is blast of fun? We had been learning the skill required to play Aussie rules.

When you play Aussie rules you will be using a medium rugby ball only.

There will be three goal post and you have to kick it in the middle of the there goal post if you kick a goal you will get points.

The main thing of drop punt is laces away from faces and balls face down. We had to try and get our partners knee and it was awkward.

Badminton

Have you ever played badminton before? well room 15 has, we've learnt lots of new skills. We had so much fun with Lorene. She taught us how to play this game. It was a challenge, we had to get four people and play two on two. There was four nets, one net was used to practice our forehand, the other was for back hand practice with the third one to practice the over hand and the last big net was to practice anything we wanted.

We’ve been learning how to hit the shuttle and serving it. Many people were excited that we were playing a game called hit the shuttle over the net. When I served it I was feeling nervous because I might hit it out. Serving is when you use a back hand or a forehand.

There have been many tips we’ve learned from Lorene. Me and my friends were in a team. We played the game again to see who was the champion team. Me and my friend tried out and we were still in. We tried our best to become the champion. and we did not because we didn’t have time.

snowboarding

Dunedin people were snowboarding down their streets. Their streets were covered in thick snow. Everyone must have shocked when they looked out there window in the morning.

NETBALL

Every Thursday we have netball. Our practice days are only Tuesdays but our coach is always late. Netball is a good game to play for fitness.

We had a good game on the netball courts last week. Our game was against Churchill Park School who were so hard. We tryed to catch up because they were winning the second half.

My position was goal shoot and goal attack. Both positions are shooting and attacking. I got eight goals in the first half but in the second half we couldn't catch up. The wind was blowing so hard that we nearly fell on the ground. The final scores was fourteen to sixteen.

Swimming Movie

This is a movie about learning to swim.

Swimming Lessons

Wow! guess what. We are going swimming for two weeks to learn how to swim. We got ready and started to walk to the YMCA pools. The wind was blowing hard and was rustling our plastic bags.

When we walked into the pools I could smell the chlorine and chemicals. First we all got changed in to our togs. When I first got in to the pools it was warm like being in the sun. Miss Garden gave us lots of different tips. I had to swim all the way to the other side with out breathing and I did it!

Once our turn was over we jumped out and changed back into our beautiful uniforms. I felt so tired once we had walked all the way back to school. What a fun day, I hope that we get to go back to swim again!

Bulding a Tower

On the first day of school Room Fifteen and Room Fourteen were trying to build the tallest tower. It was so much fun.

First Mr Marks told us some tips before starting. We had to use newspaper but only eight pieces. My team mates were Mele, Doris, Quziyah. Then Mr Marks called out, “start now”.

My team were working hard to win the challenge. So I told my team how to make it. We started rolling four pieces of newspaper up like tubes for the legs.

Then we started to wrap the tape around the tubes. Mele was so angry because she thought that our one was going to be the smallest. After a while Mr Marks called out, “time up, time up”. Our team was so angry because we knew we didn’t win because our one was the smallest.

Camp

Did you know what we did last week? well the year 5’s and 6’s camp was on Wednesday. The first thing that we did was going to Swimarama. When we got there I was going to explode because it was my first time going to Swimarama. I thought I was suprised.

When they called out ‘True Crew it‘s your turn to go in the hydroslide’ I was so excited to go in it. I got there and I was so scared to go down but then I told myself, you can do it. When it was my turn to go down I was so nervous because it was so dark down there.

Favourite Food

My favourite food is round and it is shaped like a wheel. It has pineapple on it and has sauce under it. You can mostly buy it from Glen Innes, but you can buy it anywhere. It can be baked as a recipe.

It is yum and you can eat it for dinner or for your birthday party. There are all sorts of them, some of them are hot and spicy. It is so big that you can’t eat it all by yourself.

Baseball with Cola

On Thursday room 15 was excited because we were going to play baseball. We had to sit down on the grass in our team lines. our team names are Cola and Pepsi. Then we started to play against each other, Cola challenging Pepsi.

I was in team Pepsi, it was Cola team to fielding but I wanted to be fielding . When it was my turn I was nervous that I might hit it small and I did. I was disappointment because I hit the ball small.

Then it was our turn to be fielding, I was base one and Grace was base two and Lorenzo was base three. Grace threw the ball me because there was a person that was coming to base one. But I didn’t catch it, it was to high for me.

Baseball

When I started to bat I felt nervous. I saw someone bat a powerful hit then I started to do the same. It was so much fun playing baseball,I hope we do it again.

Earthquake

It was tragic and sad for the people who were trapped inside old collapsed buildings. The people in Christchurch had to evacuate, so they would not get hurt. The people that search for people under building. The people were heart -broken. People in Christchurch need assisted.
